Multiple Skills for the 21st Century. by JR

Multiple Skills for the 21st Century.I believe that in the 21st century it is so important to have multiple skills. But what I also find is that if you have an entrepreneurial business (or plan to in the future), you can gain the needed skills for the future while you create your income now.

Here's my short list for on-the-job training, so that you can learn while you earn.

SalesI began my journey with sales, which, of course, dynamically changed my life at age 25. The first year I multiplied my income by five. Being raised in farm country, I knew how to milk cows, but it didn't pay well. Sales altered the course of my life, where I learned to present a valid product in the marketplace, talk about its virtues and get somebody to say "Yes." Then give them good service.

RecruitingThen came recruiting, how to expand my business and build an organization. We have all heard the question, is it better to have one person selling a $1,000 or have 100 people selling $10? If you ask me, I'll take the 100 at $10. Once mastered, recruiting, the ability to multiply your efforts, is one of life's and leadership's greatest time-management resources.

OrganizingThen I learned organizing. Keeping your own schedule can be difficult at times, but now you have to balance multiple tasks and people to get maximum results. You will find that the payoff is massive once you have tapped into the synergy and momentum of group dynamics and teamwork.

PromotionNext is promotion. First it's the spring campaign and then the fall campaign, and then it's this month's objective's campaign. You never know when it's going to click for someone to want or need to buy from you or be a part of what you are doing, so having the offer or the special or the contest going when they're ready can make all the difference.

RecognitionThen it's the recognition. Some people work harder for recognition than they do for money. It's the chance to belong. It's getting people to do something that, ordinarily on their own, they wouldn't think of doing. They could, but they don't think of it. You come along with a little promotion for this month or this quarter and everything changes for them, and I found that paid big money.

CommunicationThen I learned communication. How to do the training, how to do the teaching, and probably the greatest gift of all is learning how to inspire with words. Inspire people to see themselves better than they are with all of those gifts, all of those skills. Be the voice that tells them they have made a wise decision and here's why.

Now, I believe with just this little short list I've given you, you'll be equipped. We've all watched what has happened the last 15 years. The guy had one skill; the company downsizes. His division is eliminated and since he only had one skill, now he is vulnerable. He's wandering around saying, "Oh my, the last few years I should have taken some classes that would have taught me a couple of more things and I wouldn't be here in this vulnerable position."

So my admonition: Learn some multiple skills, or should we say, backup skills for the 21st century, and no better place to learn them than in what you're already doing now.

What others say about MLM/NWM/ Direct Selling!

“Network marketing gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth.” Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author

“I am often asked if Network Marketing is a Pyramid Scheme. My reply is that corporations really are pyramid schemes. A corporation has only one person at the top, generally the CEO, and everyone else below.”Donald Trump, Entrepreneur and Author

“The future of network marketing is unlimited. There’s no end in sight. It will to continue to grow, because better people are getting into it. They are raising the entire standard of MLM to the point where soon, it will be one of the most respected business methods in the world.” Brian Tracy, Author and Motivational Speaker

“Network marketing is the big wave of the future. It’s taking the place of franchising, which now requires too much capital for the average person.”Jim Rohn, America’s Business Philosopher

“You will meet people who believe all network marketing opportunities are pyramid schemes. Why spend all your time trying to convince them otherwise when there are legions of people who are open to what you have?” -Randy Gage, Network Marketer, Trainer and Author

“Success in this industry is not in finding the right person, but in becoming the right person.” Dr. Forrest Shaklee, Founder of Shaklee

“You must as a Leader have a plan, a step by step trail, and direct your people down the MLM Power Path.”Doug Firebaugh, Network Marketer and Trainer

“No matter what your product is, you are ultimately in the education business. Your customers need to be constantly educated about the many advantages of doing business with you, trained to use your products more effectively, and taught how to make never-ending improvement in their lives.”Robert G Allen, Entrepreneur, Author, and Motivational Speaker

“Network Marketing is an equal opportunity opportunity.” Michael S. Clouse, Network Marketer and Trainer

“We’re in the midst of a boom in home-based businesses, and it shows no sign of slowing.”Paul Zane Pilzer, Nobel Prize Winning Economist and Author

“If you are a person with big dreams and would love to support others in achieving their big dreams, then the network marketing business is definitely a business for you. You can start your business part-time at first and then as your business grows, you can help other people start their part-time business. This is a value worth having – a business and people who help others make their dreams come true.”Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author

“Home-based businesses are one of the fastest-growing segments in our economy, and that trend will only continue, as the age of the corporation, which began barely a century ago, now gives way to the age of the entrepreneur.” Paul Zane Pilzer, Author and Nobel Prize Winning Economist

“You don’t have to get it perfect, you just need to get it started”Joe Schoeder, Network Marketer and Trainer

“If you become teachable and remain so, a network marketing career will make you money. More importantly it will mold your character”Jay Vandenhoff, Network Marketer

“Of all the entrepreneurial opportunities available today, one of the most important is direct selling, also called network marketing.”Paul Zane Pilzer, Nobel Prize Winning Economist and Author

“You only win when you help others win.” Paul Zane Pilzer, Nobel Prize Winning Economist and Author

“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” Anthony Robbins, Author, Speaker, and Self Help Guru

“In Network Marketing, duplication is what success looks like!”Michael S. Clouse, Network Marketer and Trainer

“For people choosing to use a network marketing system to build a business in the B quadrant, the price of entry is a lot lower, the risks are lower, and the education and support are there to guide you through this personal development process.” Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author

“In today’s world, working for yourself is actually the safer route, and working for a corporation has become the riskier propositions.”Paul Zane Pilzer, Nobel Prize Winning Economist and Author

“Network marketing is based purely on relationship selling, which is the state of the art in selling today. Small and large companies throughout the country and the world are realizing that individuals selling to their friends and associates is the future of sales, because the critical element in buying is trust.” — Brian Tracy, Author and Motivational Speaker

“Only take the advice from people who are currently building a business.” Don Failla, Network Marketer and Author

“If I had to do it all over again, rather than build an old style type of business, I would have started building a network marketing business.”Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author

“I would rather earn 1% off a 100 people’s efforts than 100% of my own efforts.” John D. Rockefeller, Businessman

The Real Problem with Network Marketing and Multi-Level Marketing (MLM)

The Real Problem with Network Marketing and Multi-Level Marketing (MLM):

There's a first time for everything. And network marketing/MLM is a great opportunity for people to have their first business, their first sales role, etc. My point is this—recognize it for what it is: it's a business, and you are a business owner. And if you've never owned a business before, if you've never done sales before, if you've never networked before, you need to learn about how to do so, not just from the network marketing/MLM experts, but from established experts in those fields.

Network marketers who are serious about building a business should be reading and learning about business fundamentals, the latest sales and marketing techniques, strategies for networking and business development, etc., not just swapping tips at your team's weekly or monthly meeting. Act like a small business owner, and people will treat you like one.

ARE YOU BUILDING PIPELINES OR HAULING BUCKETS?

Choice, not circumstances, determines your success.

Some years ago, a young entrepreneur called Marcus Samuel set up a small shop in the East End London. He spotted a growing craze for seashells, partly for decoration, and partly for natural history enthusiasts. He set about specializing in this market.

After a while, and being an enterprising type of chap, he soon realized he could make some more money from actually shipping the shells in from the Far East selling them to other shops. The Marcus Samuel shipping and trading Company was born.

On a business trip there, his son spotted that there was also abundance of oil, which they could ship at the same time, and built a special boat for this. This year was 1890, and the company changed its name, in recognition of its main cargo, to the Shell Transport and Trading Company. As the demand for oil really took off and replaced the shells, the company became good old Shell Oil.

Shell is today the largest retailer in the world.

Utaona kuwa, ni kweli:- "Choice, not circumstances, determines your success."

Sayansi ya utajiri

WHATEVER MAY BE SAID IN PRAISE OF POVERTY, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No one can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money, for to unfold the soul and to de-velop talent he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with.

A person develops in mind, soul, and body by making use of things, and society is so organized that man must have money in order to become the possessor of things. Therefore, the basis of all advancement must be the science of getting rich.

The object of all life is development, and everything that lives has an inalienable right to all the development it is capable of attaining.

A person’s right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to his fullest mental, spiritual, and physical unfoldment; or, in other words, his right to be rich.

In this book, I shall not speak of riches in a figurative way. To be really rich does not mean to be satisfied or contented with a little. No one ought to be satisfied with a little if he is capable of using and enjoying more. The purpose of nature is the advancement and unfoldment of life, and everyone should have all that can contribute to the power, elegance, beauty, and richness of life. To be content with less is sinful.

The person who owns all he wants for the living of all the life he is capable of living is rich, and no person who has not plenty of money can have all he wants. Life has advanced so far and become so complex that even the most ordinary man or woman requires a great amount of wealth in order to live in a manner that even approaches completeness. Every person naturally wants to become all that they are capable of becoming. This desire to realize innate possibilities is inherent in human nature; we cannot help wanting to be all that we can be. Success in life is becoming what you want to be. You can become what you want to be only by making use of things, and you can have the free use of things only as you become rich enough to buy them. To understand the science of getting rich is therefore the most essential of all knowledge.

There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life — and that desire is praiseworthy. The person who does not desire to live more abundantly is abnormal, and so the person who does not desire to have money enough to buy all he wants is abnormal.

There are three motives for which we live: We live for the body, we live for the mind, we live for the soul. No one of these is better or holier than the other; all are alike desirable, and no one of the three — body, mind, or soul — can live fully if either of the others is cut short of full life and expression. It is not right or noble to live only for the soul and deny mind or body, and it is wrong to live for the intellect and deny body or soul.

NETWORK MARKETING!

MANY times friends have asked us to join a network marketing group. Some have told us we should quit our day jobs because a network marketing group will get us rich quickly.

However, many of us fail to join because we are asked to pay a fee by buying a product. Network marketing is new wave sweeping across the world.

Network marketing is based on word-of-mouth advertising, which is the most effective form of advertising. Think about it; when you find a nice restaurant or hotel, you will go and tell people about it. Companies count on this but don't pay you for advertising them. In network marketing you get paid for word-of-mouth advertising by recommending a product or service and receiving money for it.

Robert Kiyosaki in his book Retire Young Retire Rich summed up network marketing saying: "It is the business school for people who like helping people".

In other words it creates training ground for people to learn to start and run a business.

Benon Kiggundu, a financial consultant, says network marketing enables you create a system which helps you make money from the time and effort you invest. Kiggundu says network marketing gives one a number of advantages.

Benefit
Communication skills: The training you'll get from having a network marketing business will give you deeper appreciation of what your employer has to deal with on a daily basis. You will also become a far better communicator, someone who really listens to and addresses the wants and needs of others.

Financial freedom: In traditional business you will never hear about financial freedom because if you become financially free, you become a threat to the organisation, compared to network marketing where financial freedom is a goal. In traditional business a person becomes financially free by creating many people who are financially broke.

Low-investment capital: It is a business in which common people can invest a small sum of money and rise to staggering levels of financial reward and personal freedom.

Personal development: In traditional business there is less emphasis on personal development; if there is, it's tilted towards supporting the growth of the organisation not an individual compared to network marketing where personal development is the major ingredient of success

Leverage: Each day millions of people report to work, where your employer leverages your time to build his or her business. The principle in network marketing is to assist others in building their businesses.

The networkers get paid for this because they are coaching and helping people to establish their businesses.
